Société Métallurgique de Gerzat (SMG), a subsidiary of the Luxfer Gas Cylinders division of Luxfer Group

Following investigations into reported ruptures of high-pressure cylinders made from aluminium alloy 5283 (AA5283), Société Metallurgique de Gerzat SAS (SMG) has determined that some AA5283 cylinders may undergo metallurgical changes that require special precautions. As a result, SMG announces the following safety recommendations for use of SMG high-pressure cylinders manufactured from AA5283:

UWATEC AG 1995 Dive Computers Recalled0

WASHINGTON, D.C. - In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), UWATEC AG, of Hallwil, Switzerland, is voluntarily recalling about 390 dive computers manufactured in 1995 and sold under the model name Aladin Air X NitrOx . Software in the dive computers may inaccurately calculate desaturation times, resulting in possible decompression sickness under aggressive dive conditions.

HTM Sport S.p.A., Manufacturer of Dacor and Mares Dive Computers, has discovered that during production, a small number of Dacor Darwin and Mares M1 dive computers were improperly calibrated, resulting in erroneous calculations displayed regarding “No Dec Time”, “Deco Time”, “Air Time”, “Desat Time” and “No Fly” times.
